This was stated by the economist during the VIII National Congress of Real Estate Agents of Spain (API) that took place in Ávila (Castilla y León), where he stressed that of the total of these 800,000 homes that he expects to be sold in 2025, only 100,000 will be new homes, 12% of the total.

At the event, Bernardos assured that professionals who sell second-hand homes "are going to have a very good period," although he has warned that prices will continue to rise, above 10%, since there are 1.5 million homes that are part of the accumulated demand.

In addition, Bernardos has assured that there will be a "tremendous mortgage war," which will lead some entities to offer 100% of the price of the home to certain profiles with solvency, property guarantees or with high fixed incomes.

Along these lines, the expert has pointed out that the generational change has consolidated the trend of parents giving their children a guarantor . "Now young people put experiences above housing in their spending priorities. Children have travelled much more than their parents," he stressed.

During the event, the Vice President of the General Council, Ángel Martínez León, recalled the problems that are being experienced in Spain due to the great difficulties in accessing housing that the population is suffering and called for the "lack of housing policies" on the part of the administrations.
