In a final between the top two players in the ATP rankings, Alcaraz, ranked second in the world, defeated Sinner, who had won the last two majors – the United States and Australia – by 4-6, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) and 7-6 (10-2) in five hours and 29 minutes, in the longest Roland Garros final in the Open Era.

Alcaraz, 22, won the fifth major of his career, after victories at Roland Garros in 2024, Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024, and the US Open in 2022.
