After opening all the new stores, the company will have 1600 stores operating in the country, generating at least more 700 full-time jobs opportunities.

“We want to be where our customers are and offer them the best at the best price,” said Elodie Perthuisot, executive director of Carrefour Spain, quoted by Noticias Trabajo.

The chain currently has more than 1,500 points of sale throughout Spain, divided between 200 hypermarkets and more than 1,100 Carrefour Expresidenta stores, the latter being a key model in its business strategy. According to company data, 46 new stores were opened during the first half of 2025.

Since 2019, Carrefour has maintained a steady pace of growth: 691 openings in six years, an investment of more than £150 million and more than 3,500 jobs created.
