Known as a teacher, member of a brotherhood and carnival enthusiast, Ariza was the author of the La Salle Viña chorus, of Los Dedócratas and president of the jury of the Falla competition on three occasions.

In 1982 he had the opportunity to write for the group of the Nuestra Andalucía club, called ‘Los califas’, which won fourth prize, with music by Pedro Gragera. In 1983 he began a period in the Los Dedócratas choir with “Gran hotel”, “Apaga y vámonos” and “Tendido trece”. His last works on songwriting were for the chirigotas “55 días en Paskín” and “Los jupitajos”.

He was president of the COAC jury three times. In 2001, 2002 and 2014. He also chaired the youth jury in 1994 and was a member of the adult jury in 1996 and 1999.
