The event, which took place this week, was witnessed by several people who were walking along the beach and who notified the local police, according to a statement from Benidorm Town Hall.

After spawning, it returned to the sea and the Local Police proceeded to buoy the area to protect the nest. The beaconing was carried out while awaiting the arrival of personnel from the Cavanilles Institute of Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology of the University of Valencia (UA) and the Oceanogràfic, who will determine the number of eggs.
