According to Tele Madrid, the plots will be allocated to associations or non-profit entities to "satisfy environmental, social, community, educational, health, identity, landscape and sense of belonging functions in the neighbourhood".

The delegate for Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility, Borja Carabante, has signed a decree granting authorisation for temporary and free use of municipal plots for use as community urban gardens.

The cultivation of the garden must be carried out under the premises of organic farming, without the use of phytosanitary products, insecticides or chemical synthesis fertilisers. The product obtained will not be destined for sale but will be consumed by the people themselves given that the purpose of the activity is educational, social and community-based.
