Turespaña is forecasting 12 million seats on international flights to Spain for the month of May, an increase of 6.3 per cent on the 11.3 million recorded in May 2024.

Good performances are also expected in May from the other main inbound markets, such as the United Kingdom, with an 8.9 per cent increase in available seats, Germany with a 1.3 per cent rise and France with a 3.5 per cent increase, according to the same media outlet.

As for the Nordic countries, Finland saw a 1.9 per cent increase in available seats. On the other hand, Denmark saw a 5.4 per cent reduction in the number of seats planned for May, Sweden an 8 per cent drop and Norway 6.9 per cent.

There was also growth of 15.9 per cent in Ireland and 17.7 per cent in Turkey, joined in May by Czechia, all of which are forecast to grow by more than 15 per cent. Among the Ibero-American countries, Colombia and Mexico recorded the highest volume of scheduled capacity, with a significant increase of 14.2 per cent in the case of Colombia and a drop of 3.5 per cent in Mexico for May.
