Madrid and Malaga are usually the first places that come to mind when talking about quality of life in Spain. However, a recent report prepared by MWCC using data from the Numbeo database has revealed that a northern city tops the ranking of quality of life in the country.
This study has considered six key indicators: purchasing power and cost of living, accessibility to housing, environment, security, health and traffic.
Pamplona stands out as the Spanish city with the highest purchasing power, which means that its inhabitants can enjoy a higher standard of living compared to other cities. This balance is achieved thanks to a relatively low cost of living in relation to average income.
For example, housing prices in Pamplona are more affordable than in large cities such as Madrid or Barcelona, which allows residents to spend a smaller proportion of their income on basic expenses. The job market in sectors such as industry and services is robust, which contributes to economic stability that is reflected in the quality of life of its citizens.
